Cross2 Studio is a new kind of studio that combines precise classical ballet methods with practical, living English.
As we cultivate beautiful posture and rich sensibilities, we simultaneously nurture the power to overcome language barriers and connect with the world.

Cross2 Studio Founder / Ballet & English Instructor
Nice to meet you.
I am Reina Takatani, instructor at Cross2 Studio.
During my three years studying abroad in the UK, I experienced firsthand the differences in mindsets and customs between European countries and Japan.
That experience led me to think about what I could do here in Oita to help more people enjoy their lives through ballet.
I established 【Ballet in English】 to help children proactively acquire practical English through physical movement, empowering them to express and assert themselves independently.
I also launched 【50-100 Ballet】 with the desire to increase the number of healthy, beautiful women of any age through ballet, especially in today's era of the 100-year lifespan.
The name "Cross2 Studio" holds two major meanings:
- 1. To "Cross" or Combine By combining ballet with other elements—such as Ballet × English, or Ballet × Adult Women—we want a wider range of age groups to enjoy ballet and discover its charm.
- 2. To "Cross" the World By mastering ballet and English, we aim to nurture students who will cross borders and thrive on the global stage.
From children to adults, I hope to help you expand your potential, even just a little, through ballet.

Background & Qualifications
- ▪Studied abroad for 3 years from the age of 17 at the Central School of Ballet in London, UK.
- ▪Studied Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Singing, Anatomy, and Nutrition.
- ▪Conducted ballet workshops for children with no prior experience at local primary schools while studying abroad.
- ▪Graduated from the University of Kent with a BA(Hons).
- ▪Acquired Eiken Grade 1 upon returning to Japan. Has taught English to students ranging from children to adults.
- ▪1st Place, Ms. Fabulous Kyushu & Okinawa Preliminary (20s category) / Grand Prix, Ms. Fabulous 2020 Japan Finals (20s category).
- ▪May 2024: Certified DLS Instructor (Basic Course).
- ▪April 2026: Certified DLS Instructor (Advanced Course).
- ★A mother of one, currently expecting her second child.
[For Safe Physical Development]
I possess extensive knowledge in anatomy and kinesiology based on my DLS certifications. Because I understand body structure logically, children whose skeletons are still developing can attend classes safely without fear of injury.
External Instructor Roles & Activities
